Leadership Lunch with Dominic Perrottet: GST carve-up does not reward State Reform | Events at CIS

The current GST carve-up does not reward political reform, The Hon. Dominic Perrottet MP, NSW Minister for Finance, Services and Property said at the CIS.
Speaking at the Centre for Independent Studies, Mr Perrottet said that under the principle of horizontal fiscal equalisation - where all citizens can expect to have access to equal standards of government services - non-reforming states are being rewarded for their inaction.
He referred to the states that receive more money being those that have pursued anti-growth policies and have bloated public services.
